AC Milan Secures $22.1m Yunus Musah Transfer, Joins Christian Pulisic

AC Milan Adds Yunus Musah to Its Roster in €21 Million Transfer

AC Milan has made an exciting addition to its team by signing USA international Yunus Musah from LaLiga’s Valencia. The 20-year-old midfielder’s transfer comes at a cost of €20 million (£17.1 million, $22.1 million), with an additional €1 million in potential add-ons.

Born in New York, Musah has a unique upbringing, having grown up in both Italy and England. He has committed to a five-year contract with AC Milan and will proudly don the No. 80 jersey, as reported by The Athletic.

Notably, Musah will reunite with his fellow USMNT teammate, Christian Pulisic, at San Siro. Pulisic, a former Chelsea star, joined AC Milan on a four-year contract just last month.

AC Milan’s ownership falls under the purview of the American investment firm RedBird Capital Partners, led by Gerry Cardinale. Additionally, the renowned New York Yankees hold a minority stake in the club.

Yunus Musah’s track record is impressive, having made 27 appearances for the United States. His skills were showcased during the 2022 World Cup, where he played in all four games for the Stars and Stripes.

Musah’s journey in professional soccer has seen him rise as a consistent starter during his three seasons with Valencia. His connection to Italy runs deep, as he spent part of his childhood near Venice in Castelfranco Veneto.

AC Milan’s ambitions in the transfer market have been fervent, with the acquisition of not only Yunus Musah but also players like Noah Okafor, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Tijjani Reijnders.
